Substances are fully supported in Unity 3D since version 3.4. Bitmap2Material used in the context of the Unity game engine offers two great benefits: it saves production time by all the material maps (normal map, height map, specular map...) directly in the Unity Editor and reduces your game size by generating all output maps of these materials on the client side. |
Bitmap2Material generates all your material output maps from the diffuse map on the client side at runtime, meaning there is no need to store these maps in your game package, saving a lot of space in the process!
